Salem Symphony Orchestra

It was a pleasure performing my first concert as Principal Timpanist of the Salem Symphony Orchestra!   Our season-ending event with Joshua Bell as soloist and Anthony Parnther as guest conductor was a wonderful way to cap off the inaugural season. Looking forward to season 2!

Our first “Percussion in the Park” concert with the Western Oregon University Percussion Ensemble was a big success!  Looking forward to making this an annual event in the community of Monmouth!


Third Angle Soiree

It was a great pleasure to perform at the Third Angle New Music Soiree gala.  Michael Gordon’s Timber and John Luther Adams’ In a Treeless Place, Only Snow were featured on the program. How wonderful to share the stage with such esteemed musicians!

Clinic at Central Washington University

I had an excellent time presenting a snare drum clinic this week at Central Washington University.  It was based on the book I’ve been developing entitled “Independence for Snare Drum,” which centers on exercises meant to develop better facility in snare drum playing.  Thanks to Professor Mark Goodenberger for having me!

The Union High School Percussion Ensemble performs…

The Union High School Percussion Ensemble performs “Embellished,” my new piece for large percussion ensemble at the Washington State Solo and Ensemble Festival on 4/26/13. This performance was awarded 1st place in the Large Ensemble category.
